Congress just approved a 90 extension for those folks who are currently qualified for the Home Buyer Tax Credit and have yet to close their transaction. Under the original guidelines their transaction needed to close by June 30 of this year. Now they have until September 30 2010 to close the transaction. This will help 180,000 taxpayers who are under contract but were having trouble closing by the original June 30 deadline.
